This year’s theme is Totally 80’s. Theme your float/vehicle/band around your favorite classic movie for what will surely be an entertaining parade.

Register online, by mail or in person before Monday, July 16th. Get the low $10 entry fee and beat race-day crowds! First 300 registered runners get T-Shirts!

Due to Festival preparations, the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce office will not be able to accept walk-in applications after Friday, June 29th. Please register in person Friday, July 20th at the Memorial Green or on race day before 7:10 am.

Maine State Clam Shucking Contest

Time: 11:00 am

Date: Saturday, July 21nd

Location: Memorial Green Tent

Come watch, and compete! Prizes go to the fastest shuckers in professional and amateur heats.

TWO celebrity heats set the competitive edge, both TV and radio on-air personalities compete for bragging rights! This year’s celebrity shuckers are Lori Voornas and Ryan Gavin from WJBQ 97.9, Travis Lee and Ted McInerney from WMTW 8, Amanda Hill and Caroline Cornish from WCSH 6, and Marissa Bodnar and Jon Chrisos from WGME 13.

Registration begins at 10:30 am.

Firefighters' Muster Competition

Firefighters’ Muster Competition

Watch firefighting teams compete in events such as a bucket brigade, firefighter suit-up, and an old-fashioned hose-pull contest.

Celebrate after a day of fun with our annual fireworks! Find a grassy spot and enjoy one of the Clam Festival’s biggest attractions—you don’t want to miss it.

38th Annual Clam Festival Men’s & Women’s Professional Bike Race

Time: 9:00 am

Date: Sunday, July 22rd

Location: Main Street at Memorial Green

Starts and finishes on Main Street in front of Memorial Green. This is a 3.6-mile loop with one short climb — 10 laps for men (36 miles) and 6 laps for women (21.6 miles).

$1,500 in prizes and primes. Field limited to 100 per race.

Sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation; all USCF road racing rules apply.

Street Closures

From 8:30 am to 11:30 am the following streets will be closed for the Bike Race: Main Street (between East Main Street and West Elm Street).

Automobile traffic on the rest of the race course will be restricted to moving in the direction of bicycle traffic, and long delays should be expected.

The following roads will be affected: East Elm Street (between Main St and Leighton Rd), Leighton Rd, North Rd (between Leighton Rd and East Main Street), East Main Street (between North Rd and Main St)

Diaper Derby

A fun race for crawlers and toddlers hosted by Lee Goldberg from WCSH.

Prizes for first and second-place winners in three divisions: Crawlers (1-12 months), Toddlers (13-24 months), Toddlers (25-36 months).

7th Annual Healthy Kids Happy Kids Fun Ride

Time: 12:00 pm

Date: Sunday, July 22rd

Location: Village Green Park

Bike Ride – Ages 4 to 12

Helmets and Bikes necessary! Training wheels welcome!

All participants receive prizes at the completion of event and first 25 participants receive t-shirts.

Ride will start promptly at 12:00 pm and will be held rain or shine. Sorry no refunds.

Course:

Ages 4–6: Staging is at registration on the Village Green Park in front of the Village Florist. The kids will walk their bikes up Main Street and line up at the Center Street Fountain, near the Baptist Church. They will ride their bikes down Main Street and finish in the horseshoe driveway of the Village Florist.

Ages 7–12: Staging will be on Main Street in front of Peaches. They will ride up Main Street and take a left on Center Street, continue down Center Street and take another left on Cumberland Street, then another left on South Street. The finish line will be on Main Street between the Catholic Church and 317 Main Street.

  • 7 to 8-year-olds: 2 laps
  • 9 to 10-year-olds: 3 laps
  • 11 to 12-year-olds: 4 laps

All age groups will ride separately.

The Main St. Rumble is an invite only car show from 1:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday.   The show starts at 1:00PM when all 20 vehicles make their entrance with a Police Escort into the heart of the Clam Festival on Main St. in the middle of the Food Circle and Art Show.
