Street Closures

REGISTRATION

Register online, by mail or in person before Friday, July 14, 2023. Get the low $15 entry fee and beat race-day crowds! First 300 registered runners get T-Shirts!

Registrations not postmarked by July 17th or received after July 17th will be $18 per participant. Registrations will be accepted on Friday, July 21st at Memorial Green from 10:00 am to 3:00pm for $18. Race Day registrations will be $20 and start at 6:00 am and will end at 7:10 am.

NOTE: The Chamber’s office is located 305 Main Street in Yarmouth.

Maine State Clam Shucking Contest

Time: 11:00 am

Date: Saturday, July 20th

Location: Memorial Green Tent

Come watch and compete! Prizes go to the fastest shuckers in professional and amateur heats.

TWO celebrity heats set the competitive edge, both TV and radio on-air personalities compete for bragging rights!

42nd Annual Clam Festival Men’s & Women’s Professional Bike Race

Time: 9:00 am

Date: Sunday, July 21st

Location: Main Street at Memorial Green

Starts and finishes on Main Street in front of Memorial Green. This is a 3.6-mile loop with one short climb — 10 laps for men (36 miles) and 6 laps for women (21.6 miles).

$1,500 in prizes and primes. Field limited to 100 per race.

Sanctioned by the United States Cycling Federation; all USCF road racing rules apply.

Street Closures

From 8:30 am to 1:00 pm the following streets will be closed for the Bike Race: Main Street (between East Main Street and West Elm Street).

Automobile traffic on the rest of the race course will be restricted to moving in the direction of bicycle traffic, and long delays should be expected.

The following roads will be affected: East Elm Street (between Main St and Leighton Rd), Leighton Rd, North Rd (between Leighton Rd and East Main Street), East Main Street (between North Rd and Main St)

Fireworks!

Main. St. Rumble

Time: 1:00PM to 3:00PM

Date: Sunday, July 21st

Location: Main Street (Between the Food Circle and Art show)

The Main St. Rumble is an invite only car show from 1:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday.   The show starts at 1:00PM when all vehicles make their entrance with a Police Escort into the heart of the Clam Festival on Main St. Classic cars will be on display in front of Yarmouth Town Hall.
