Main Street
Let's celebrate your heroes the whole length of Main Street at the THREE CHEERS FOR CHAMPIONS: YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW parade!
This year's theme honors Herbie the 217-year-old Champion American Elm tree that Yarmouth lost this year after a 50-year battle with Dutch Elm Disease, as well as Frank Knight, the man who championed Herbie's survival through those 50 years and 14 bouts of the killer disease.
Frank will lead the parade as grand marshal, and float designs will celebrate champions of every kind — those who have inspired us in all aspects of life: sports,
imagination, education, social action, the environment...
...the champion is in the eye of the beholder, so show us who yours is! Gather friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors, and build a winning float that puts your hero on a pedestal! Let's make this parade a champion!
